Farm Bill
From the Washington Post: "With an overwhelming 82 to 13 vote, the Senate yesterday completed the override of President Bush's veto of a comprehensive farm bill, shrugging off Republican concerns about an embarrassing legislative glitch to make the $307 billion bill the law of the land."
Congress overrode the veto of the farm bill H.R. 2419. The Senate voted 82-13 to override the veto, and the House voted 316-108 to override. The President's veto statement is posted on the White House website. A summary of the bill and the bill text are available through THOMAS. The final text of Public Law 110-234 will be posted on GPO Access in the next few days.
