Presidential Memorandum on Tribal Consultation
From the Washington Post: "President Obama on Thursday told what he called the largest gathering of Native American tribal leaders that 'you will not be forgotten by this White House,' pledging to work with them to address their community's chronic problems with health care, economic development, land management and education."
The White House website has the transcript of the President's remarks at the opening of the Tribal Nations Conference and of the following Q & A session. The White House site also has the text of the Presidential Memorandum on Tribal Consultation.
