From the New York Times: "With speculation already focusing on President Bush's next Supreme Court choice, the full Senate began debate this afternoon on the confirmation of Judge John G. Roberts Jr. as chief justice of the United States."
The transcript of the Senate discussion of Roberts' nomination begins on page S10395 of the Congressional Record. Yesterday's Daily Digest indicates that the final vote is scheduled for 11:30 A.M. on Thursday, September 29th. In addition, C-SPAN is broadcasting the debates on the Senate floor on C-SPAN2 via streaming video.
