Montana Heart Disease and Stroke State Plan 2006-2010

The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services recently released the Montana Heart Disease and Stroke State Plan 2006-2010. The plan "outlines goals, objectives, and specific strategies that can realistically be achieved within a five-year period to improve the health of Montanans".

From the Department's press release: "Heart disease and stroke are the first and fourth leading causes of death of Montanans. The state plan is the culmination of a 15-month planning process involving the state's Cardiovascular Disease/ Obesity Prevention Task Force. It includes population-based objectives and strategies for use within health-care, community, and worksite settings. "
