From the Missoulian: "An ambitious plan to expand noxious weed control in the Lolo National Forest is up for public review.
"Resource managers hope to triple the annual acreage they treat for invasive plants like spotted knapweed and Dalmatian toadflax. They also want to add sheep and goats to the toolbox of control measures. The plans are detailed in a draft environmental impact statement."
The proposal to improve weed management on the Lolo National Forest, "Integrated Weed Management Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS)," is available on the forest website. The DEIS legal notice includes details on how to submit comments on the plan.
