GAO Report on the Labor Department

From the New York Times: "The federal agency charged with enforcing minimum wage, overtime and many other labor laws is failing in that role, leaving millions of workers vulnerable, Congressional auditors have found."

The Government Accountability Office (GAO) has prepared testimony on this investigation, "Department of Labor: Wage and Hour Division's Complaint Intake and Investigative Processes Leave Low Wage Workers Vulnerable To Wage Theft." The testimony is scheduled to be presented at a House Education & Labor Committee hearing.
