Supplemental Funding for Iraq and Afghanistan
From the Washington Post: "President Obama sent Congress an $83.4 billion spending request yesterday to fund his administration's strategies in Iraq and Afghanistan through the summer, in what officials promised would be the last such off-budget proposal to pay for the wars."
The President's request to Congress has been posted on the White House website. More detailed information about how the funds would be used has been posted in a lengthy report (107 pp) on the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) website under the supplementals section of the President's budget.
Congressional Research Service (CRS) reports on "The Cost of Iraq, Afghanistan, and Other Global War on Terror Operations Since 9/11" are posted on OpenCRS, a project of the Center for Democracy & Technology.
