Recent Congressional Hearings on Iraq and Troop Withdrawl

From the New York Times: "Telling Congress that progress in Iraq was 'fragile and reversible,' the top American commander recommended Tuesday that consideration of any new withdrawals of American troops be delayed until the fall, making it likely that little would change before Election Day."

General David H. Petraeus testified before the Senate Armed Services Committee on April 8, 2008. His prepared remarks and those of Ambassador Ryan C. Crocker are available on the hearing webpage. Video of the hearing is available from C-Span.

Petraeus and Crocker are scheduled to appear before the House Armed Services Committee today (Wednesday, April 9, 2008).

C-SPAN has other Iraq Report Hearing videos on its website.
