111th Congress

The 111th session of Congress gets underway this week. You can track all the action through THOMAS, the Library of Congress website that provides quick access to bill text and status, transcripts of floor action (via the Congressional Record), vote results, and much more.

Here are a few additional websites to keep in mind if you want to keep up with Congress:

Senate.gov - Provides fast access to contact information for your senators, to Senate committees, and to the Senate Library (which has excellent background information about how Congress works).

House.gov - Like the Senate website, the House website is the fastest way to track down your representative and find House committees.

Congressional Budget Office - Want to know how much a proposed program will cost? The CBO has probably crunched the numbers.
