Financial Regulatory System Report

From the Washington Post: "The U.S. financial regulatory system is seriously outdated and needs urgent reform to avoid a further worsening of the economic crisis, concludes a report released yesterday by the Government Accountability Office."

An update to the "high-risk" series from the Government Accountability Office (GAO) was released yesterday. The GAO also produced testimony on the financial regulatory system recently: "Financial Regulation: A Framework for Crafting and Assessing Proposals to Modernize the Outdated U.S. Financial Regulatory System."
