On March 2, the Archivist of the United States announced "Steps in Response to Withdrawal of Declassified Records from Open Shelves at the National Archives."
On March 14, the House Government Reform Subcommittee on National Security, Emerging Threats and International Relations held a hearing on this issue: "Drowning in a Sea of Faux Secrets: Policies on Handling of Classified and Sensitive Information."
