Supplements to the Katrina Report

From the Missoulian: "Michael Brown, former head of the Federal Emergency Management Agency, deliberately ignored a new national disaster plan and circumvented his boss, Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff, in trying to manage the federal response to Hurricane Katrina directly with the White House, according to a new House report."

The new information is contained in supplements to the "Failure of Initiative" report. Six supplemental files and the deposition of Michael Brown can be found on the House Committee for Government Reform website:
  • Supplemental - Part I
  • Supplemental - Part II
  • Supplemental - Part III
  • Supplemental - Part IV
  • Supplemental - Part V
  • Supplemental - Part VI

The National Response Plan referenced in the report is available on the Department of Homeland Security website.
