From the Missoulian: "A White House plan to reduce the federal deficit by tapping the already cash-strapped Bonneville Power Administration likely would result in electricity rate hikes, and could cost the region more than 1,000 jobs.
"That's according to an analysis by the Northwest Power and Conservation Council. The council is a multi-state agency, created by Congress to ensure affordable and reliable electricity throughout the Northwest."
