Fairness in Asbestos Injury Resolution Act of 2005

From the Missoulian: "The Senate on Wednesday will begin debating a bill to create a $140 billion trust fund to compensate victims of asbestos exposure--including provisions for those in Libby--after Democratic leaders backed off an attempt Tuesday to stop the measure from coming to the floor."

You can find up-to-date information on the FAIR Act of 2005, S. 852, through THOMAS. A transcript of yesterday's discussion of the FAIR Act can be found in the Congressional Record, beginning on page s740. The text of the speech Senator Burns made on the Senate floor is also available on his website. Discussion will continue today, and the transcript will appear in tomorrow's edition of the Congressional Record.
